![]() On there way back the Canadian CBP gave them a mandatory 2 weeks quarantine.įinding the Peace Arch park on the Canadian □□ side is a lot harder. I’ve heard of one case where a Canadian couple entered the the US Customs Station to ask for information. Pedestrians are hesitant to cross that line. There are signs all across the Peace Arch Park lawn stating that the Border is closed. CBP cars are creating a single lane into Canadian Port of Entry. On the Canadian side CBP Officers are stationed on 0 Avenue. Borders Patrol are watching from the parking lot. Excellent view of the San de Fuca Strait. □□ side is designed to easily to find & access the park. It's VERY muddy in a lot of the grass areas.Great place to meet & greet friends & family from both sides of the borders without waiting in the vehicle Customs line. I would suggest coming here to visit either way, just don't wear sandals, or heels. This isn't an all day kind of park, but nice for a few hour visit. The park itself is very pretty, lots of space, lots of flowers and things to take pictures of, We didn't venture around too much because we really just wanted to spend the time talking since we didn't have much time (Im sure we could have stayed there longer but I had a long drive ahead of me, and he had a long bus transport back to Vancouver). They do have bathrooms on both sides which is convenient. They open the park around 8am and close it at dusk. You can bring food, picnics, etc here as long as no "gifts" are exchanged. So for those curious, you can go anywhere in the park as long as you aren't trying to cross on either side, but you don't have to actually stay "at" the border. We were able to bring lunch here, hang out and talk which was nice to be able to do despite our situation. He may have been able to cross the border but we are going through paperwork for him to move here and didn't want to risk him being denied for any reason. They were helpful and answered any questions I had and didn't treat me like like I was a prisoner for going there, which is how I felt it would feel like, that we were in jail or something. I was nervous coming here not knowing what boundaries you can be in, but walking into the park, there's always US border patrol right there and to be honest, they were my favorite part of all the border people I had to deal with. This place is perfect if you are ever in a situation like mine, though I hope you aren't. ![]() We were planning a nice weekend together, and our trip got ruined. I was stuck in Blaine, and my boyfriend in Vancouver. Residential parking 1-2 blocks away from the park is the only option.ĭue to an unfortunate circumstance, I wasn't able to cross the Canadian border. Street parking on 0 Avenue is not allowed. Great place to meet & greet friends & family from both sides of the borders without waiting in the vehicle Customs line.
